Husbandry Office Bali recorded the average of chicken meat consumption daily touches 100,000-110,00 chicken. While the grade of chicken egg consumption reaches one million eggs or it is around 90 tons per day. Population of egg layer-chicken now is reaching five million chickens in breeders. “This egg layer-chicken amount saving the necessity of chicken eggs in Bali,” said the Head of Husbandry Office Bali, Putu Sumantra in Denpasar yesterday.
Sumantra said there is no problem with the stock of meat and eggs. It ensured the stock of both necessities before and after Lebaran day. Even the stock of chicken meat and eggs are in lavish condition, said Sumantra. “The stock of chicken meat and eggs are saved,” said him. Based on data from Association of Chicken Breeder in Bali, breeder side ensured the stock of chicken meat and eggs are abundant. “They had asked me to stop new license of chicken seed due to recent chicken production is enough to remain the good price of chicken,” said him.
Sumantra said the stock of chicken meat and eggs in upcoming Lebaran in Bali is not in crisis condition like what has been told in some media. “We had asked the husbandry association to keep their product capacity. Further we are also sending eggs to outside Bali,” said him. Related with the plan of adding product capacity next year, Sumantra confessed it needs further reviews especially from the market demand. “Depending on the demand, high demand will push higher production,” said him.
